DORKING REFURBISHMENT  The brief was to complete the conversion of an office space into 7 apartments and refurbish existing commercial accommodation at ground level including an existing hairdresser salon.

One of the key challenges was to ensure all units living spaces benefited from maximum daylighting in a building where floor to ceiling height is limited and little changes could be made to the external appearance. The project aims to achieve a BREEAM excellent rating and Code for Sustainable Level 4.

Following commencement on site, we have since carried out the feasibility of a loft extension to accommodate two additional residential units (phase 2) for which planning permission has been granted.
